Alida Melse and Leandra Oerter, from the Zero Hidden Hunger EU project will attend the “Micronutrient Forum 7th global conference” and present the work done so far.
The event will draw 1,500 participants from across nutrition, food, agriculture, climate, development, and other humanitarian fields. More than half of them will come from Africa and other low- and middle-income countries, reflecting the global need to prioritize equity and invest in local leadership.
The conference program will focus on:
- How to ensure progress in nutrition in a new reality of climate change, funding cuts, conflicts and displacement.
- How to harness new science and technology innovations for progress in nutrition.
- How new models of collaboration are needed that enable countries to scale up and support their nutrition programs and make agriculture-, climate- and health-investments more nutrition smart.
