If you’re in London, don’t miss Evidence Week 2025 (3‑7 November), hosted by Sense About Science in partnership with the Quadram Institute.

The event is a unique platform to explore how evidence shapes policy and how research, food systems, and public health intersect.

On Tuesday 4 November, 09:00‑16:00, Dr Maria Traka, Prof Martin Warren and Dr Emma Webb will attend the session “Micronutrient Malnutrition” highlighting hidden hunger and micronutrient malnutrition, and present the work the EU funded Zero Hidden Hunger EU project is doing. The session will explore strategies such as biofortification to tackle micronutrient deficiencies that can exist even when calorie intake is high.

Why attend:

✔️ Gain insights into hidden hunger — micronutrient deficiency despite adequate calorie intake — and explore current research addressing this challenge.

✔️Learn about the intersection of food systems, nutrition science, and public health policy.

✔️Engage with experts and policymakers to understand how evidence can inform real-world solutions.
